			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mark your calendars: Jimmy Choo is launching a special collection of affordable shoes, bags, and clothing  on Nov. 14,  in 200 <a title="H&amp;M Stores" href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/livingston-mall/hm" target="_self">H&amp;M Stores</a> across the world.  The luxury brand, famous for its stilettos and bags (and Carrie Bradshaw), will design an exclusive line of both male and female fashion for this upcoming fall. Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo&#8217;s founder and chief executive, promises &#8220;a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!&#8221;</p>
<p>Keeping in check with the recessionista trend, Choo&#8217;s lower priced items are going to be a surefire success. After major collaboartions with Commes des Garcons, Stella McCarney, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli, and Matthew Williamson, H&amp;M is finally diving into the accessory market.  This is the first time H&amp;M has worked with an accessories brand, and probably won&#8217;t be the last! The line is rumored to include a dozen womens&#8217; styles and four styles for men.  Prices will begin at about $55 for a pair, which is much more affordable than Jimmy Choo&#8217;s signature line, where prices range from  $175 (for flip flops) to $2,500 (snakeskin boots).</p>
<p>The next great designer to follow up Anna Sui&#8217;s Gossip Girl back-to-school line up at <a title="Target" href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/mall-of-the-bluffs/target" target="_self">Target</a> is….RODARTE!  Rodarte is best known for their avante garde feminine clothing, loved by celebs such as Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst. The duo of designers behind Rodarte [pronounced roh-dart-ay] are compiling a line of 55 pieces ranging in price from $9.99 (for knee highs) to $79.99 (jacket). According to Target spokesperson Joshua Thomas, “The collection incorporates a rich mix of patterns and fabrications and everything from sequins and bows to faux fur. The key with Rodarte is layering.”  The new GO International collection hits stores December 20, 2009, so you can pick up the perfect holiday outfit.</p>
<p>Rodarte joins the ranks of past GO International designers such as Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk, Rogan, Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Thakoon and Tracy Feith.  Target hopes to introduce Rodarte&#8217;s unique design to a broad audience.</p>
<p>“When the Go program launched in 2006, each designer was available for three months,” Thomas said. “We had used up the calendar [for the year] with three or four designers. It needed to evolve. Our guests are very trend-forward, they’re looking for what’s hot and what’s new. Now we have a lot more time and opportunity to introduce more programs on the floor, like Designer Collaborations. We are spacing out Go so what we do remains fresh. Go is in the stores for 45 days now.”</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Joining the ranks of fashion icons Alexander McQueen and Isaac Mizrahi, <a title="Anna Sui" href="http://www.annasui.com/" target="_blank">Anna Sui</a> is the next major fashion power to step up to the proverbial plate at <a title="Target" href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/glendale-galleria/target" target="_self">Target</a>.  Under the &#8220;Design Collaboration Series&#8221;, the line will hit stores across the country just in time for back to school and fall fashion.  Sui&#8217;s line debuts September 13 and will be available until October 17.</p>
<p>Target is attempting to break through to the most difficult demographic; the female consumer base aged 15-34. It is even odd that the retail market groups 15 year-olds in the same category as women in their 30&#8217;s, and such poses the dilemma.  What do these young women have in common?  In a stroke of genius, Sui picks up where the Sex and the City phenomenon left off.  The most popular show today among that demographic is <a title="Gossip Girl" href="http://www.cwtv.com/shows/gossip-girl" target="_blank">Gossip Girl: New York City</a> style for the everygirl.  Teens can relate to the teenage story lines and older women can relate to the fashions and fast pace of the hit show.  Sui&#8217;s new collection will model itself after the women of the show: Blair, Serena, Jenny, and Vanessa.</p>
<p>Details of the line have not been released yet, but I&#8217;m sure we can expect the following:  preppy (Blair), sultry (Serena), edgy (Jenny), and bohemian (Vanessa) looks. The price point will probably be on par with Target&#8217;s usual affordability.  Cleverly, the release of the line in September coincides with the return of season 3 of Gossip Girl.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since Patrick Robinson was hired as executive vice president of design at the Gap two years ago, the line has been trying to reinvent itself, with mixed results.  Trying to stay true to the aesthetic of the traditional Gap that is known for their classic staples, and move towards the modern trends has been difficult.  But this summer, the Gap is upgrading their denim line known as &#8220;1969&#8243; (the year the Gap was founded).  This new premium collection previewed this week in New York includes faded boyfriend jeans, rinse wash skinny jeans, vintage looking bell bottoms, and boot cut- all available in dark, medium, and light rinses. Robinson hopes to be able to compete with premium denim companies, who sell their jeans for up to $250.</p>
<p>So why would you buy <a title="Gap" href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/the-mall-at-short-hills/gap" target="_self">Gap</a> premium jeans instead of your favorite designer pair? The price! In the 1969 collection, everything is $69! Being such a large company and brand enables the Gap to manufacture premium denim fabrics with detailing at a low cost- an advantage that smaller premium designers lack. Fifty years later, the Gap must be doing something right to still be around!</p>
<p>The new 1969 collection will be available in Gap stores nationwide this July 2009.</p>

<p>Other than the fact that both hail from Minneapolis, what brings the mega retailer together with the mega star is money! Linking up with an exclusive retailer is a profitable idea for well-established musicians.</p>
<p>Prince has previously tried out alternative ways to distribute his music. Copies of his 2007 CD &#8220;Planet Earth&#8221; were delivered with British newspaper The Mail on Sunday. Last fall, he released a coffee table book of photos titled &#8220;21 Nights&#8221; documenting his record-breaking, 21-night run at London&#8217;s 02 Arena in 2007. The book also included a CD of live performances.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/ala-moana-center/forever-21" target="_self">Forever 21</a> is one of our favorite places to shop- mainly because of its dirt cheap pricing and huge variety.  But even with all their merchandise and accessory-filled mega-stores, they still were forgetting a huge piece of the retail pie: plus size fashion.  This spring (May 1 to be exact) Forever 21 will launch &#8220;Faith 21&#8243;. The line will follow Forever 21&#8217;s trendy translation of runway knockoffs and trends and offer jeans, tops, leggings, dresses, skirts and more in bigger sizes.  Since the average American woman is a size 14, we are sure the XL, 1X, and 2X sizes will fly off the racks. The pricing is typical Forever 21, and will range from $3.50 to $34.80.</p>
<p>Faith 21 will be available in L.A. on May 1 at Lakewood Center Mall, Montebello Town Center, Los Cerritos Mall, Anaheim Plaza and online at <a href="http://www.forever21.com/" target="_blank">www.forever21.com</a>. When the line becomes a hit, and we are sure it will,  it will be available nationwide.</p>

Karan teamed up with <a href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/king-of-prussia-mall/levis" target="_self">Levi’s</a>, another iconic American brand to design three styles: a wide leg jean, a skinny jean, and a “boyfriend” jean (slouchier fit). The jeans come in several washes such as rivington blue, white, black, and dark schiller. These styles have arrived today at <a href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/the-mall-at-short-hills/bloomingdales">Bloomingdales</a>, <a href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/king-of-prussia-mall/lord-taylor" target="_self">Lord &amp; Taylor</a>, and <a href="http://www.mallcrawl.com/malls/king-of-prussia-mall/macys" target="_self">Macy’s</a>.</p>
