Cheap is still trendy! Christian Siriano, season 4 winner of Bravo’s hit show, Project Runway, may have been the most loved (or hated?) of the design stars in the show’s history.  He has become the self proclaimed face of fierceness!

Christian is the first of all 5 winners to hit the mass market and actually appeal to his fan base. His upcoming shoe line with Payless Shoesource has debuted and NY Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and will hit the stores in September 2009.  The line was seamlessly integrated into his high end designer looks, and steered away from his signature black color palette, introducing a refreshing brown trend for Fall 2009. The Egyptian-inspired collection of five styles (Slither, Saunter, SheDevil, Sand Strap and Strut) have “tough” details like spikes, studs and chains.  The collection is set at a price point of $25-45 and joins other notable designers Abaete, Alice + Olivia, Lela Rose, and Patricia Fields in the Payless hall of fame.  Inexpensive footwear is becoming increasingly chic! Payless shoes may not be the pairs that last a lifetime, but for $25, why not grab a pair of cheap, runway inspired pumps for next fall? We are sold!  Ferosh.
